Candlelight concert

Candlelight concerts have become popular in the last year or so and they take place all over the world. Our experience was at a church in Wicker Park with the performers playing Antonio Vivaldi compositions. The performance was so incredible, that now, all I listen to while I work is Vivaldi! They usually last about an hour or so, and each concert gives a tribute to different musicians or composers. Very well worth attending!
Piva Beer Spa

Yep, you read it right: can you believe you can actually enjoy a soak in beer?! Now that is one idea to surprise your partner with! Piva was beyond our expectations; we enjoyed a salt room, then sauna, followed by a steam room, and finally an amazing soak in beer. If beer isn't for you, you can choose to soak yourself in CBD instead. By the time we got home we were so relaxed, that we slept like babies. Highly recommend this place, especially that each area is private for you and your partner only.
Staycation at Godfrey Hotel

Now Godfrey is the perfect place to do a staycation at in Chicago. Not only is the hotel located in the best area with everything nearby, but the rooms are super comfy, and the rooftop alone is worth visiting. Combine the night with one of below activities, and you have yourself an amazing date spent together with your partner.
Shuffleboard at Royal Palms

I honestly don't remember last time I played something so competitive and fun at the same time. Royal Palms is a decent sized hang out spot in the heart of Wicker Park with yummy drinks and plenty of shuffleboard courts. They do get quite busy on weekends and by busy, I mean we waited for 1.5 hours, so make sure to plan ahead. But, don't you worry, they do have board and card games available while you wait and sip on your cocktail. As of now, you cannot make a reservation; it's on first come, first serve basis, BUT it's so worth playing!
Ping Pong at Ace Bounce

For those with competitive spirit that enjoy occasional ping pong or even beer pong, you must check out Ace Bounce. This spacious venue offers great food, drinks, a DJ, and activities that will guarantee you are having a great time. They also have bottomless brunch on Saturdays, so make sure to check it out!
Pinot's Palette

How about painting while sipping on your favorite alcoholic beverage and turning into the artist that you are! We had an absolute blast, and the teacher was super patient and guided the whole group through the whole experience. At the end, we were so proud of our artwork, that it is now being exhibited at our home. Perfect idea for a date night or even a night out with friends.
Chicago Magic Lounge

Guys! Do you believe in magic? Well, I do now after visiting Chicago Magic Lounge! The food, the cocktails, the talent, the performances, were beyond our expectations. We were literally mind blown every minute we were there. Shockingly to the point, that my 2023 goal is to learn some card tricks :) I won't spoil the surprise but when you go through the entrance, you kind of stop and think: "Am I in the right place?" You will know what I mean once you visit.
Cabaret ZaZou

Last, but certainly not least on the list of date night ideas, is Cabaret ZaZou! Imagine grabbing fabulous dinner, with unique cocktails, while watching a performer do acrobatics above you, as an amazing artist is singing Feeling Good. Well, you can certainly experience this, by attending this over-the-top performance with great laughs, incredible performances, and so much more. Watch out though, because you may be called on stage and participate in some of their acts (Kam certainly did because I said too much :), but he did so great and the whole crowd absolutely loved it). Definitely an experience for the books!
