Chicago, the windy city and a place that truly has it all! Regardless of what season you decide to come visit, there is always so much to do. Below list will help you plan a weekend getaway with some of the best attractions Chicago has to offer. Luckily, most of these are indoor, so whether it's rainy or simply too hot, you can enjoy these regardless.

Want to learn how to make your own rug? Well this is the spot to do just that! We had so much fun learning the process and even though it is bit intimidating at first, it was so rewarding to see the final product. This place also offers ceramics painting and glass fusing: can't wait to try those as well!

How about making art by getting a workout? This experience is so unique and fun, so don't be afraid to get your hands dirty (literally). If you want to get creative but are bored of the sip and paint activities, then defintely give this a try.

Candlelight has taken over the world! These concerts are taking place everywhere at this point, and at the most unique places like theaters, churches, and vintage venues. You can enjoy some of your favorite music performed just by artists and their instruments. We went to a Vivaldi one, and let's just say we were ready to learn how to play a violin the next day.

So you attended a concert with candles and now you can learn how to make your own candle! You get to pick your own candle holder and then one of the instructors will guide you through the whole process with picking scents, pouring wax and so on. It is also BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the experience.

When visiting Chicago this is A MUST, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Margie's is a mix of history, ice cream, and the best sweets you will find in the city. Upon stepping in, you will be taken back in time to 1921, the year Margie's started. Since it is family owned, it's quite incredible to know that the recipes have not changed and everything is made the same way as it was 100 years ago.

Who would have thought you can soak in beer when visiting Chicago? Piva Beer Spa offers the ultimate relaxation experience by providing not only beer soak, but also a salt room, sauna, and steam room. This is the perfect spot for a date night or if you want to decompress after exploring the city.

Chicago is a home to many fantastic foods. Because our city is so diverse, you can really eat some of the best foods from all around the world. If you are up for Mexican food with an upscale vibe, then La Victoria is the place to be! Instagrammable decor, combined with delicious foods and unique drinks will make it an unforgettable experience.

If you didn't know Chicago has a very rich history and many places are considered haunted. Go on a walking tour to learn more about Al Capone, ghostly past and more. You get to hit your steps while learning about Chicago's history in a very fun way.

This is truly one of a kind experience: dinner with some of the best entertainment in Chicagoland. The show is a perfect blend of a circus, theater, and cabaret with an intimate setting. Everything is so well put together which makes for an incredible immersive experience.

Baseball season is upon us and what better way to experience Chicago then to come out and watch Cubs play. Even if you are not a baseball fanatic, we highly recommend checking out the game as the atmosphere is incredible and Chicago fans are some of the BEST fans a city can have!

Yes, it technically is Willis Tower, but if you are from Chicago, you most likely call it Sears Tower and you won't call it anything else! It is the tallest building in Chicago, so the views from its Skydeck are wild, especially on a clear day. Additionally, you can climb onto the ledge and get creative with your poses while sitting on the glass.

You will learn very quickly that it will be really hard to pick where you want to eat as everything is unique and there is so much of it! If you are staying in the heart of the city, than Venteux should be your breakfast stop. Also look at that interior!

As mentioned before, Chicago's rich history makes it that much more fun to explore. If you have a great weather, we highly recommend jumping on a boat and learn more about the Chicago Great Fire, all the buildings that surround the river, how Chicago got its name and more. Make sure you have plenty of storage on your camera, as you will take a ton of pics!

We hope you get to enjoy our beautiful city and experience as much as possible.

Happy exploring!

XoXo
