@visitmanitowoc is a quick 3 hour drive 🚘 from Chicago which makes for an awesome weekend getaway. If you are looking to make the best of the summer and enjoy sunny weather, you cannot go wrong by visiting! Below are a few stops that will only make your stay THAT much better!

🚴‍♀️@manitowocmarina is the best place to start your morning! They have bikes for rental which you can enjoy on Mariners Trail by Lake Michigan. We are true believers that the best way to explore a new place is by biking around and this activity did not disappoint. The trail is 6 miles long and connects Manitowoc with Two Rivers while you get to enjoy the sounds of waves, some sunshine, and incredible views.

🚢@wisconsinmaritimemuseum is a perfect stop for all ages! Not only is it a really educational museum, but you can also explore the USS Cobia submarine which is a one of a kind adventure.

🎸@petskullbrewingcompany offers 20 rotating craft beers on tap along with other beverages and food as well. They have lots of live music and entertainment almost everyday, so bring your lawn chair, enjoy some brews and have a great time.

💐West of Lake Gardens is a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of these gorgeous flowers (there are 63 different types of roses!). Located right by Lake Michigan, these gardens serve as a really relaxing place where it’s actually encouraged to walk barefoot on this immaculate green grass.

🥾 @dunbarcavestatepark is one of a kind park that offers trails and also a stunning cave. Unfortunately as of right now the tours of the cave are impossible due to flooding, however fingers crossed they open soon! You can still view it the way we did.

☕️ @theamsterdamlocal is the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. They offer delicious dishes made from local and fresh ingredients along with house made coffee that will get your day going. Highly recommend the avocado toast!

🛶 @fyb_clarksville is the spot if you are looking to kayak or rent floats on the Red River. The water is super calm in a very jungle-like forest that makes for the best ride.

🙃@rivercityclay is such a fun stop if you are wanting to learn something new such as pottery. Our instructor Rebecca was phenomenal and we had an amazing time even though our bowls may have not came out as beautiful as we would have liked :D

🏠 @thetanglewoodhouse is a unique wedding venue in the woods, but is also starting to offer (later in the year) extended stay. It will not operate like a airbnb or a hotel, so definitely contact them if you are interested, especially if you plan to have a wedding here

🎸 @oldglorydistillingco is a perfect spot to do a distillery tour, grab yummy food, or just hang out outdoors and listen to live music. Such fun vibes and plenty to do, so certainly worth a visit.

🚖 @reoldmuseum offers one of the best and well kept collections of cars and memorabilia. Given Michigan’s rich history in the automotive industry, this is a great stop to learn a bit more about it.

🧑‍🌾 @horrocksfarmmarket is Lansing’s premier destination for fresh produce and a unique shopping experience. Additionally it has live music, on-site food truck and a beer garden. Simply put: it has it all!
